Name What You Want

What do you really want out of your business, your relationships, your life? If you can’t name it, then you won’t know how to reach the goal.

Focus and target in on the precise goal because unless you aim for specifics at best you may only partially hit your target. Most people have an vague ‘idea’ of what they want, but until you write it down and discuss it thoroughly, you wont have a clear understanding.

Having money or being happy is not a goal.  A goal needs direction.  For instance, if it’s higher profits there needs a number attached to it.  This sounds simple, but often we fall short of naming where we are and where we aim to be.

We’re taught not to talk about money, that it’s not polite.  But as an entrepreneur, you should be talking about money.  Because if you aren’t, then you probably aren’t making much.  When you bring it into your mind, it becomes more of an action.

And being happy is a non-conforming goal.  It’s a feeling that fluctuates. But, you’ll be happier with results of your desired outcome when you know what it is you’re striving for.
